Joe Moore, DPh
In 1946 Ed Callaway and Joe Moore opened Moore's Drug Store in a building at Five Points. Two years later, along with partner Harry Ellis, they purchased a second and called it Ellis Drug Store. After graduating from pharmacy school in 1950, Ben Moore joined the staff and became a partner with his father and uncle in 1953. A year later Ellis Drug Store became Moore's Pharmacy. In 1958 the Moore family opened Cleveland Apothecary on Broad Street and immediately saw the need for additional space and a better location. As a result, the family opened Medical Center Pharmacy on Ocoee Street in 1962. Joe Moore,DPh joined his father at Medical Center Pharmacy in 1981 after graduating from Mercer University School of Pharmacy. Joe has been a compounding member with PCCA since 1986. His specialties include pediatric, hospice & veterinarian compounding. 

 

 


Cindy Smith, RPh

A South Carolina native, Cindy Smith, RPh, graduated from the University Of South Carolina College Of Pharmacy in 1988. She has had extensive experience in long-term care pharmacy, home health care, hospice care, hospital and retail pharmacy. She has worked for Medical Center Pharmacy since 2006. She recently attended the Compounding Training School offered by PCCA as well as specialized training courses in Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. She enjoys the opportunity to assist, as well as help educate, patients and other healthcare professionals regarding the benefits, advantages and solutions that pharmaceutical compounding can offer.

 

 

 


Amy Ownby, LPN

Health Center Nurse

Amy attended TN Technology Center of Athens, TN and received her licensed practical nurse certification in 2001. Amy has 9 years experience in Cardiac/Medical/Developmental nursing & has been with Medical Center Compounding Pharmacy & Health Center since May, 2010.  She is our Health Center nurse, offering immunizations, lipid profiles, Post-mastectomy & diabetic fittings. Amy has completed advanced training in sizing & fitting mastectomy bras, breast forms & diabetic therapeutic footwear.

Holly York, CPhT
Marketing & Educational Director

Compounding Specialist

Holly attended the University of TN at Chattanooga and received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1999. After 5 years in the pharmaceutical & advertising industries, Holly became Marketing & Educational Director for Medical Center Pharmacy in 2005 and became a Certified Pharmacy Technician in 2006.  Holly has over 75 hours of PCCA/PCAB training in specialized compounding areas including, BHRT, Veterinary & Pain Management. Holly offers research assistance to practitioners interested in developing solutions to their patients' medication dilemmas.  

 

 

Mindy Dillard, CPhT

Compounding Specialist

Mindy became a pharmacy technician in 1992 & became a Certified Pharmacy Technician in 1999, when she joined Medical Center Pharmacy.  Mindy has over 100 hours of PCCA/PCAB training in specialized areas including, Sterile, BHRT, Hospice, Pain Management & Veterinary Compounding. Mindy is very experienced & knowledgeable in the art of compounding.  Mindy is extremely hardworking and will not stop until she discovers the answer to her patients' problems.    

 

 

 

Keri King, CPhT

Compounding Specialist

Keri became a pharmacy technician in 1996 & became a Certified Pharmacy Technician in 1998 when she joined Medical Center Pharmacy.  Keri has over 20 hours of PCCA training in specialized areas including, Basic Laboratory training, BHRT & Veterinary Compounding. Keri most enjoys providing solutions to patients & practitioners & preparing formulations that are not easily available. Keri's strength is organization & extreme attention to detail, which makes her a key member on our team.
